What is the timeline for applying?

We are currently expanding our team and are accepting applications until March 14th. We will do interviews March 18th-19th.

From March 21st- March 26th, we will be holding trainings online. March 28th-April 2nd we will hold in person training at our facility. We will open for the season and working hours starting April 1st and go until November 1st.

We hire as young as 14 years old and as old as 18 years old. This is a good high school aged job.

We are aware that most of our employees are still in school and have adjusted schedules accordingly.

What will you be doing?

Cold Springs Trout Farm is a service-oriented business, one that requires each employee to work hard to meet the needs of each customer.  You will be required to do a variety of jobs, which include, but are not limited to: cleaning fish, cleaning bathrooms, filleting, helping customers fixing poles, cleaning ponds, brushing screens, helping customers with reservations, etc.

You will be on your feet a lot during the day especially while cleaning and filleting fish. The 5-gallon buckets full of water and fish are heavy. This job is a physically demanding job, please take this into consideration as you are applying for this job.

What shifts would you be working?

We are open Monday through Saturday. We currently have our shifts in about 4-8-hour time frames. During the school year, our shifts are from 4 until close (8pm-9:30pm) depending on the time of year. During the summer, the shifts can be scheduled as, but not limited to, the following time frames: 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, 1-cl, 4-cl etc.

We do expect you to work most summer and fall holidays, including: Memorial Day, July 4th, July 24th, Labor Day, Halloween night. At a minimum, we expect you to work at least two of the holidays.

 

What is required to work here?

In order to be part of our team, you will need to:

  • Step 1: Have an active Food Handlers Permit
  • Step 2: Fill out an Employee Application Form
  • Step 3: Complete our training course. (We will contact you with this information when the interviews are being held.)
  • Step 4: Be a diligent and hard-worker
